Full circle

Here is an overview of the Dutch Invertuals exhibition that took place during Dutch Design Week at Edhv. The exhibition setting intentionally emphasized the feeling of inside and outside so visitors had to look for the entrance in order to see what’s up. The whole exhibition was achieved by working together as a group without compromising on personal presentation. that’s what Dutch Invertuals is about. Next up; Milano.

Untouchables

The Dutch Invertuals presentation during the Dutch Design Week was visited by many again this year. It is becoming a kind of tradition to turn our office into a gallery space for a week. This year the theme was ‘vulnerability’. Designs so fragile they become untouchable.

At Boijmans

Two of are projects are featured in the “New Energy in Design and Art” exhibition at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. It is definitely worth a visit!

New Energy in Design and Art is an exhibition about energy and the search for a new balance in our living environment. Artists, designers and progressive thinkers present their (alternative) ideas about our consumption of energy. The exhibition features surprising, strange and sometimes unimaginable objects and sculptures that deal with the theme of sustainable progress. Some are poetic, others are alienating or perhaps brilliant. But they all relevant. This exhibition will be an eye-opener.

New Energy in Design and Art demonstrates how we can think differently about the consumption of energy. In Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen sustainable progress will be approached and presented in an art-historical context.

The artists and designers in this exhibition (including Atelier NL, the duo Auger-Loizeau, Joris Laarman, Philippe Rahm, Bertjan Pot, Michiel van Bakel, John Körmeling, Edhv, Oskar de Kiefte, Eric Klarenbeek, Mike Thompson, Panamarenko, Jurgen Bey, mischer’traxler, Gerrit van Bakel, Dunne & Raby, Jeroen Verhoeven,  Zoe Papadopoulou, Design Drift and Theo Jansen) no longer think in terms of utopian ideas but show us pure reality. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen attempts to bring this reality into contact with our imagination.
