Spatial Camo

Creating an object for the purpose of obscuring space

For the exhibition Cohesion by Dutch Invertuals we investigated the relation of objects and their surroundings. usually an object has a clear outline which make them easy to distinguish. But what happens if we create an object for the purpose of obscuring space? Concealing the identity of an object.

Physical code

For this we developed a ‘physical code.’ One relatively simple and easy to reproduce shape that can be connected into a sophisticated spacial structure. This structure can visually absorb space, cover any object and alter its outlines like architectural camouflage. This installation was presented as a part of the Dutch Invertuals exhibition called ‘Cohesion’ during Dutch Design Week.
