Synchroon 5TRACKS Breda

A multi-layered and comprehensive identity for a work/living environment in the center of Breda

We don’t participate in pitches or tenders very often for various reasons. But once in a while we make it through. What started as a rebellious pitch proposal turned into a five-year journey full of adventure. And now this journey has materialised in a full-blown urban development where people live and work.

The concept of an ecosystem of connectivity emerged. Not only in infrastructure, but also in lifestyle, culture, business, and wellbeing. The first sketches show a dynamic and flexible identity rooted in the urban context of 5TRACKS.

Placemaking

Located right next to Breda’s railway station, 5TRACKS is all about movement and connection. We defined the concept around five tracks of connectivity: international accessibility, infrastructure, business synergy, local culture, and wellbeing.

From there, we created a placemaking identity. A brand with an energetic edge, designed to make the development visible and tangible even before it opened.

Supported by placemaking events that marked key construction milestones to start building a sense of place from day one.

BUILDING MOMENTUM

The focus now shifted to the commercial phase; the marketing identity. Still dynamic and activating, but more refined in terms of look and feel, tailored to the dynamic office environment and its community. Positioning 5TRACKS as a high-quality work/living hub: sophisticated, flexible, and future-focused.

Marking the highest point with an activating event, bringing the identity to life.

As the buildings took shape, the identity moved into its consolidation phase, including wayfinding, signage, branding and digital communications.

Through an engaging social media strategy and target group-focused content, we started building a loyal and engaged community even before the first tenants moved in.

ACTIVATING THE SPACE

5TRACKS Talks Business is a series of business themed talks aimed to inspire, engage and activate the buildings ecosystem. Along with other community events, these events expres what 5TRACKS is all about: a space designed to connect people, ideas, and opportunities.

SPATIAL IDENTITY

Parallel to this, Dutch Invertuals translated the identity into a spatial experience. Creating a ‘workscape’ that inspires, surprises, and connects. This included custom-designed furniture, floor coverings and lighting.
